Bio
Robert G Allen is an online marketing real estate guru, and belongs to that select circle of people who work on explaining people to buy and invest in properties at cheap rates and sell them at high rates for a grand profit. These are known as distress properties which can be acquired by others merely by paying the taxes that are due on such properties. This is a method of which not many are aware and this ignorance is being capitalized by Robert G Allen.
Detailed Overview
Robert G Allen had been raised as a member of the Mormon Church. He lived in Tahiti as a missionary for about 2 years and completed a course in MBA from the Brigham Young University in 1974 after which he started small investments in real estate and ended up amassing millions within a few years. Allen has even co-authored several bestselling books such as The One Minute Millionaire: The Enlightened Way to Wealth and Cracking the Millionaire Code. His book Cash in a Flash: Fast Money in Slow Times is a sequel to The One Minute Millionaire: The Enlightened Way to Wealth.
As the immensely popular bestselling author of Nothing Down, he is also known as one of the most influential advisors of all time. Nothing Down was published in 1980 from when Allen’s journey as an online real estate investor began.
Allen runs the Enlightened Wealth Institute through which he conducts seminars on personal development and investment. His forte is investment and this is followed with 3 bestselling books – the Multiple Streams of Income and the audio programs The Road to Wealth and Multiple Streams of Income. He is well known as a talk show guest too. Allen has attended televisions shows such as Good Morning America and Larry King Live. Allen has also been featured in the Newsweek, Wall Street Journal, Reader’s Digest, Money Magazine and Barron’s.
Allen owns a website through which he conducts services including everything from free webinars and free newsletters to free special reports or other such products. The freebies are mostly ploys for ensnaring the interest of the audience, so that they are prompted to purchase more of his products. One of his programs, known as The One Minute Challenge which is available at Allen’s website to choose people who deserve his money making tutorial.
Reputation
Allen has received both positive and negative feedback for his programs, although the negative has slightly outweighed the positive feedback. One of the most serious allegations that have been leveled against him is that he takes his readers for granted. His method of using the opt-in method of making money is something that has come under the hammer often. He errs by thinking that everyone has a ready opt-in list, although this is not the case.
A good opt-in list can take years to accumulate and it might cost about thousands of dollars. Allen merely presumes that everyone has the opt-in list ready to use and it launches from here itself. Moreover, there is the issue about distress sales, which is not as easy to locate as Allen suggests. Those who have used and appraised his products testify that it is tough to find properties at the price rates he mentions, as the methods are good only to read.
The most ridiculous instance was Robert Allen filing for bankruptcy when his customers were asking for refunds. This has attracted the attention of organizations like the IRS.
