This helps you gain more in less time. It makes them feel as if they are a part of your business.

Give up your personal time. Be ready to give up some of your personal time for reading, TV or the hobbies which you used to enjoy. The sacrifice should be worth it and if not, your business and your job may suffer.

What is the task before you? It is time you focused on it. Concentrate on your work while in the office, instead of letting the thoughts of your business distract you.

Make sure you have the maximum out of each minute. Keep the lunch time or early hours of the morning to make phone calls to clients or customers. With the help of the commuting time, you can make the most by focusing on the paperwork.

If you are involved in doing business with the people in other states or nations, make the time differences work to your advantage by making calls early in the morning or after the work hours. Emails and faxes can be suitably used in communicating with your clients whenever you want.

Do not exceed your limits. Remember that there are certain protocols to maintain. Do not make calls on company time or use the employer’s equipment or supplies for the purposes of your business.

Honesty is the key. You are the best assessor of your situation. However, in most of the cases, it is suggested that you are honest with your boss regarding the sideline business of yours.
