Huggies are introducing new camouflage diapers this fall. This is just at the nick of the hunting season when the hues as green and brown are quite popular. Those who would like to opt for something different can go for floral, polka dot as well as the argyle patterned diapers that are already offered from Pampers.
The designer diapers are expected to cost 20 percent more than the regular ones. So, cash strapped parents might find it hard. The giants Pampers and Huggies are also not so sure if parents would be enthusiastic to pay extra to decorate baby’s bum, which is usually hidden and often thrown directly to trash after one use.
Spokesperson of Huggies, Joey Mooring added that the company tested the water for the market of designer diapers way back in 2007. They introduced denim diapers in Israel. These denim diapers soon caught the market and became widely popular there as well as in Australia and Europe. Now, one can frequently find such designer diapers in the retails in U.S. In spring last season about 60 million of such denim diapers were sold.
Denim diapers caught the market by storm mainly because in the summer months, it was easier for the moms to accept this addition for their baby as part of their wardrobe. Moms have more options to try out when they are taking their baby to parties, picnics or barbeques. Furthermore, they do not have to be anxious about where they are putting their baby. They can put there baby over grass. Earlier for the white diapers, this was something to worry about.
Designer team from Huggies have focused on the latest trends for baby care and introduced the camouflage diapers because they think it will be popular. It is expected that this exclusive piece of baby apparel will hit the stores nationwide this week. Even stores as Walmart are excited about the camouflage in the same way as they were for the denims. There is also new twist to the purchase of every pack of baby camo diapers. When any parent will buy the diaper, Huggies will contribute a pack to the Military families who are in need.
Even if the new camo diapers will cost more, Mooring is of the opinion that there are lots of parents who will be quite willing enough to pay extra. These parents are those who are wish to shed something extra if it means that designer apparels will be part of the baby’s apparel. Another interesting aspect is that these diapers will also act as protection pants. So, parents do not have to worry about doing their laundry for the babies repeatedly.
