Why Should The Customers Not Get Performance Reviews

The owners of a business are normally protective of the information regarding their sales. An important thing that most of them do not understand is that sharing the particular data with the customers can be one of the best ways to increase the sales as well as to make goodwill for the business. Most of them business owners sit once in a year for reviewing the performance of the employees, so why cannot you have a yearly meeting with the customers?

I once worked as a consultant with a client who supplied medical centers of New England a treatment facility for treating a disease. One such medical center had the capability to become one of the important customers, but the sales were minor than it was expected. What was surprising to me was this particular company dealing with medical supply had many data on the sales than any of the clients I had before, but the managers of the company were reluctant for sharing the information with the fear that the officials working at this medical center would have a negative reaction by seeing the particular data. The things that happened instead of this were that the executive at the top level kept eyes on the information. They kept on asking for more information.

The sales of my clients began to increase just after the meeting. By sharing a data with the customer one can be a successful business partner and not a vendor. This particular type of relation can make the selling process even easier and there will be a less chance to drop down the customer. There are certain ways by which one can beat the prospecting anxiety related with the business. This particular approach is best for the scenario known as business to business but it also works in a proper manner for a situation known as business to consumer situation, mainly with the contractors. If the business owner of any of the company asked me and said that the data showed on an average of house which is similar to me gets the roof changed within a few years, I would consider that whether my home is due for some kind of repair works.

You should not think that by giving this type of information you will shock people. They too have a basic idea about the things that is going on. You can only bring their focus on these things. If you decide to share the information with the help of a positive approach and offer good data, people will surely like it. In the whole process you can offer two kinds of information. The first is known as the data related to the business purchases of the customer and the second type of information is a general data related to the peers.
